Overnight Snowfall

Pretty flowers managing to keep their heads above the snow.
One cheeky Rooster, alias Stan, doesn't mind the snow.

The roads were quiet this morning. Snow kept many at home.

  1. Ooooh Joan

    It looks freezing!!!!
Dear Stan, no good pickings for him this morning - the snow probably killed off a lot of the bugs he likes to peck at!
Are those onion flowers - they look quite beautiful.

It's bitterly cold up north too today.

    Hope you're warm and cozy!

  2. Thanks for your comments, Shane. Those flowers do look like onion flowers but I don't know exactly what they are. They're brave thats for sure. No snow in Auckland, is that where you are?

  3. Yes that's where I am.
It's freezing outside tho as I'm doing accounts.
I'm at the dining room table with the sun on my back - toasty warm.

I feel for the little birds in winter.
I feed them each day with a mixture of bread, honey, sesame seeds and a few drops of linseed oil!!! They are always waiting when I come downstairs each morning!

Do pop in and visit me sometime - I'll make you a lovely cup of tea and make you very welcome!

    Keep warm Joan
    Shane :)

    Love from down south,
    Joan.
